Overview

The project called for a CD package which includes the jewel case, artwork, an extra incentive item and encompasing package for the group. Having reguarly co-hosted a hip-hop radio show at Georgia Tech’s radio station (WREK 91.1 FM), I chose to make a special edition CD based off the playlist that my colleague at the station had assembled.

The first CD, titled after the show’s name (The Breaks), would be simply a greatest hits collection — tracks that we played often and that defined the genre. The extra incentive item would in fact be an additional CD that has our very last show recorded onto the disc. The last show was three hours, and this would chronicle some moments from it.

We gave away 15 copies of the compilation disc to callers on the last show.
